Freeze your own Hashbrowns

Have you ever paid to buy a bag of hashbrowns? We decided to make our own. But here's a little tip...After you shred your potatoes, BOIL the shreds for a minute! Then dry them off and either use them immediately, or freeze them on a greased cookie tray before transferring them to a baggie for storage. 

So simple, much cheaper, and no preservatives. 

You can cook them straight from frozen too.
